Donation Options. The original premise behind the 1200 Foundation was to have each donor give $100 a month for a yearly total of $1200 – all tax deductible. We would, of course, appreciate monthly donations in amounts greater than $100. We also welcome one-time donations in any amount. Monthly direct debits can be from your credit card or you can make a one-time donation by check or credit card.

The 1200 Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, tax ID number 94-6070996. Your donation is tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

Benefits of Membership. By donating to the 1200 Foundation you are improving the lives of the working poor and their families in the East Bay.

  • Focus specifically on the working poor rather than general charity.
  • Cross a wide spectrum of programs – housing, education, medical care, child care, and employment – to improve the quality of life.
  • Keep the money you donate in the East Bay and help the community you live in.
  • Ensure funding goes to programs, not to administrative overhead.
  • Let you become an involved participant not just an anonymous donor.

As a member of the 1200 Foundation you can volunteer to serve on a foundation committee, attend the annual reception where the grantees are honored, or just provide financial assistance. The level of involvement is for you to decide.
